It's Good to be Back! =3

I don't really do journals but I may start doing them more often.
After such a long time away from cons and cosplay, it's a little strange to get back into the program……. but it's a 'good' strange. XD All of the memories came flooding back to me so it was a VERY surreal experience for me.
My local convention RealmsCon has come and gone. I did take a FEW pics and by a few I mean a whopping 5 pics LOL! I just recently purchased a digital camera so I'm not really accustomed to the idea of having a camera on my person so I would forget that I had one. I've never been really that tech savvy in the first place. This is the first all out digital camera that I have ever owned. I guess I'm more afraid of technological devices than I should be. I just got a smart phone recently and I'm still afraid of it. I've had my old cell phone since 2004 I believe…so yeah. I also didn't really have a chance to take any pics because people were taking quite a few pics of our group.
Come to think of it, I can honestly say that through my entire cosplaying career (lol), I NEVER had a chance to take photos at cons because people always wanted photos so I was always getting stopped. I mean not that it bothered me lol It's nice to know that people appreciate my work. SOOOOoooO I never thought it made sense to have a camera I would probably never use. XD I hope to change that in the future though. I would love to get video and pics at cons so that I can share them with others.
For this years RealmsCon I decided to debut my Sebastian Michaelis cosplay. It was fun to say the least. I'm not really sure what it is but the fangirls were nuts! I have gone through quite a few experiences in the past but considering how small this con is, I did NOT expect such reactions from people. Perhaps cons have changed since I've been away? O_O I'm new to the fandom so maybe that's the way it is in the world of Kuro.
The BJD Panel was cool. I didn't really know anything about BJDs so it was interesting to have a crash course on the hobby. X3 The dolls are really beautiful!
The main highlight of the con was reuniting with an awesome friend that I have not seen in years! HatterInsanity I <3 you sooooooooooooooo much *Snuggles*
That just made the whole con for me X3. I'm VERY excited about our cosplay group's plans for the future so we will definitely be posting updates about that!
I did manage to take some photos of this cosplay at home so I may post them soon.
Even though this is a new cosplay, I'm starting to see things I don't like and now I want to remake parts of it. >_>

I'm new to deviant ART and I just joined a few days ago. However, I have been cosplaying since 2004 BUT, as crazy as this may sound, I still consider myself a n00b in the world of cosplay. <_< I do not have very many cosplays. I have seen so many that have quite a few and I'm amazed. I don't think I would be able to create so many cosplays at a time.
I have been on hiatus for about 4 years though. So all of the cosplays that I have are from 2004-2008. I have others that I never finished so I hope to get those done and share them with everyone. But I will need to find them and dust them off. Lol
I look forward to getting involved in this community and meeting awesome people who have the same interests as I do!
I am currently working on my Sebastian Michaelis cosplay so I'm VERY excited to debut it at a con and have a photo shoot for it. Interestingly, my house looks like it came right out of Kuroshitsuji. I've been living in a Kuroshitsuji set and I didn't even know it! LOL It's an old Victorian home built in the 1800's. I'll be posting more photos of my other cosplays so you will see what I mean. LOL So I'm even more excited about getting this cosplay finished. I want to cosplay SOOOOO many characters from Kuroshitsuji. X_x I bought all this fabric and I have them separated in bags. XD
If you are reading this Alyssa, it is all YOUR FAULT for dragging me into the world of Kuroshitsuji!! But I still love you bunches! And I miss you too. :_: I'm willing to be your Grell even though I'm shy and embarrassed. *sniffles*
